Business Office/Business Manager

What is the main responsibility of your department?
The Global Business Development Department is a business unit, and its product sales cover the whole world. Currently, iMozen focuses on the markets of Germany, Japan and Taiwan. I am the manager of the Greater China Business Department and the Global Customer Support Department. The Greater China Business Department focuses on business sales in the Greater China region, while the Global Customer Support Department is the Sales Manager (SA), responsible for administrative affairs such as order process systems, shipping processes, and helping business achieve goals.
What are the main tasks you are responsible for?
My main responsibilities include business and business management. The primary task of business is to pursue performance targets, because as a manager, I have performance targets for myself and my team members. In the B2B sales model, in addition to directly contacting end customers, business can also contact new customers through distributors. Therefore, managing and operating distribution channels is also one of the important tasks. We must let distributors fully understand the value of our products and the differences with competing products, so that distributors recognize the value of our products and build trust with them, and then be willing to recommend our products to their end customers. Before the transaction is completed through the distribution channel, the business will go to the scene together to face potential end customers, including briefing information, sample testing, competitive product comparison and other processes.
The most important task of business management is to promote sales, including process improvement and standardization, linking with cross-departmental departments such as finance or supply chain, solving initial customer problems, assisting in the improvement of sales matters (for example: debt collection, sample management, etc.), and regularly updating account status.
Compared with similar jobs in the past, what is different about the iMozen position?
1. You are closer to the decision-makers or first-level supervisors. You have the opportunity to meet with them every week to discuss matters, and you can get first-hand information about the supervisors or bosses' thinking and business thinking in running the company and leading the team.
2. Have a very young and active business team. The current business team is the best team I have ever met since I entered the society. The partners are very cohesive and centripetal, and have broader thinking and greater flexibility to accept changes and challenges. The communication with the boss is also smooth. I have the opportunity to pass on the front-line practices to the boss and get his first-hand feedback. The value of the business can be seen and valued.
3. Opportunity to establish SOP and improve the system. Different from the mature system of the previous companies, at iMozen, you can try to establish SOP from vague concepts. Colleagues also have flexible thinking and enough patience, and work together to establish a more perfect process.
What has been the biggest gain/growth for you during your time working in the company?
Decision-making thinking. You can absorb theoretical and practical experience from bosses or supervisors' meetings, and accumulate business thinking from end customers or dealers, which will help you to better anticipate the customer's position and needs when contacting customers in the future.
What is the most unique advantage or thing you like about iMozen?
1. The company boss is very generous and tolerant. He allows room for mistakes and cultivates employees patiently. Having such a boss is the most valuable asset.
2. The company I worked for before faced a very mature market, while the current industry still has a lot of value that can be developed. I can push the market wider and deeper, develop more solutions, and there is also a chance to turn the industry around.
